Traffic to online video increased by 178% in the year Feb 07 to Feb 081; in the UK users watched 162m hours of online video in December 07; watching videos is now the 3rd most popular online activity in the UK attracting 87% of the online population (ahead of social networking at 78%). Add to this the fact that online video increases the propensity to purchase by 50% and it is clear to see why brands are now placing a greater focus and emphasis on the use of video online.
